Pierre is the third son of Alexandre Saint-Cyr and Marie-Anne Deshaies. He was born on March 12, 1648 at Saint-Vivien, Normandie. He dececed at Bécancour on June 6 1732 at the age of 84. The name of Pierre Deshayes dit Saint Cyr was showing at the census of 1666 at Becancour, Quebec, Canada . He was 19 years old. He was the house domestic of Marie Boucher. Marie Boucher widowed of Etienne Pepin de Lafond and sister of Pierre Boucher, governor of Trois Rivieres.
His first land was 3 acres at Riviere Saint Michel. On 13 September 1674, father Louis Nicolas, gave him another land. According to a note of an act that Michel Roy dit Chatellerault passed 26 May 1676. The note indicated that Pierre Deshayes was living at Batiscan and associated with Jean Lariou dit Lafantaisie to build a 30 feet high by 24 feet deep a building for Thomas de Lanouguere, Seigneur de Sainte Annne de la Pérade.
In 1676 Pierre married at Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Marguerite Guillet, they had eleven children. Marguerite was baptized at Trois Rivieres, 22 August 1660.
The Deshayes family has become deeply rooted in Becancour and Nicolet, Quebec and indeed is well-known today .

Pierre Deshayes's daughters married to the family of David, Durand, Desrosiers, Leduc, Arseneau and Frigon.
