WHO CAN I FIND

It would be very interesting to place on the Web all the information we have. Our database contains over 1200 names of Cyrenne or Syrenne born between 1771 and 1990 plus 34 Deshaies St-Cyr that formed the first three generations between 1660 and 1770. You would then be able to find your ancestors, your uncles or your children but... the Canadian law to information access does not allow us to make public data on living persons. You will, however, find the complete genealogy of:
  • Those born before 1900 (we have nearly 90% of the names of all Cyrenne/Syrenne born before 1900) which make it easy for you to link yourself to the data available on this site.
  • Those which we have the deceased date. If a spouse is still living, his/her name is not made available on the Web.
  • Those who provided us with an authorization form to publish.

BY CYRENNE / SYRENNE FIRST NAME

First page

When you make a link to the "First Name index" a page is displayed showing the letters of the alphabet from which you can select a first name.

  • This letter refers to "First Name" of the researched person: select the letter corresponding to the first letter of the first name you wish to locate. For example, if you were to look for "Fernand-Pierre Cyrenne", select the letter "F" from the first line of the alphabet. If a letter is missing in the sequence, it indicates that no first name is available for that letter.

[D][E][F][_][H] "Select the letter F"

The next page shows you an index of all "First Name" beginning with the letter [F]. This new page is in three columns.

  1. The first column shows all "First Name" beginning with the letter "F".
  2. The second column shows the father and grand-father initials. This makes it easy for you to differentiates the researched name from others.
  3. The third colum shows the full name of the spouse, if she authorised it.

If you select as first name Fernand-Pierre Cyrenne H,A, a new page titled " Tableau data / Page of [ Fernand-Pierre Cyrenne H,A ]" This page is in four columns. Select Heading to see what each of the column represents.

If available, the ancestor and his/her spouse picture will be displayed as in the case of David Cyren and Adélaide Thibeau.

At the top of the data page you have the choice of walking back to the first ancestor by pressing repeately on the link "My father" or list them all on one page by making making the link with "My ancestors"

  1. The ancestor page reads in two columns. The first column provides you with the genealogy, in this case, of Fernand-Pierre Cyrenne all the way back to 1660. All ancestor's fullnames are followed by its date of birth and the number of known descendants available from our local computer.
  2. The second column list Fernand-Pierre Cyrenne's children.
From the page "Ancestors of Fernand-Pierre Cyrenne H,A" all Cyrenne / Syrenne names are linked to its Data page and the loop is started..

BY SPOUSE FAMILY NAME

First page

  • If you link on the Spouse Family Name index, select the letter corresponding to the first letter of the spouse family name you wish to locate. For example, if you were to look for "Solange Michaud", select the letter "M" in the following sequence

    [K][L][M][_][O]

The next page will show you an index of all "Spouse Family Name" starting with the letter [M]. That page is on two columns.

  1. The first column shows all "Spouse Family Name" beginning with the letter [M]
  2. The second column shows the link of the spouse with the related Cyrenne / Syrenne's family.

For example, if you link on the "Spouse Family Name" Solange Michaud Fernand-Pierre Cyrenne data page would be displayed. Refer to the previous paragraph for more details on the data page.

NO FIND

First page

Since the site contains only the names of those deceased or those who authorized us to do so, you may not find your name. You may, however, find those of your (deceased) parents or grand-parents. If you still cannot find what you are looking for, try the names of your uncles or anyone born before 1900. If you still fail, we would appreciate if you would provide us with the missing data. To do so, link to the authorization form and follow the instructions. We accept E-mail response.

MY FAMILY TREE

First page
  • You wish to have your genealogical data entered in our database and published on the web. Follow the instructions on Autorization and mail us the information. E-mail request is accepted if your name is part of your E-mail address.
  • You may not be prepared, at this time, to authorize publication of your genealogical data on the Web but still would like to have a list of your ancestors? No problems, send us by postal or electronic mail the minimal information we require to link your data to ours (your name, father and grand-father's names). Once we have established a link from your data to ours, we will send you the result by regular mail. There is no cost for the research if the result is to be sent to you via e-mail. A small amount will be charged to pay for printing and mailing. We will not publish on the Web the data provided to us to establish the link.
  • You can help us built the database by sending newspaper clips related to Cyrenne and Syrenne from the obituary section.

Your comments are appreciated. Tell others, the database has nearly 800 names for the period of 1771 to 1970 but we are missing about 1600 other names born after 1950. You can help by adding your data to this project started 30 years ago and made available free to all on the Web.

Your suggestions on the site, as a user, will be concedered on future updates.
